I’ll call these series of poems First Date
Kottowa was introduced to me by Wanjiru Wainaina, a mutual friend of ours. He writes beautiful poems and captivating short stories and he wanted us to partner in one.
I was so afraid I’d let him down, but yoh… This project slowly set off… It was almost freestyle. Well, actually it was. Reading what the other wrote and coming up with a response immediately. Though sometimes it would take even a week to type back a response.
I’m really happy Kottowa believed in me. I’m happy Wanjiru Wainaina introduced us, I’m happy we went through with this project to the end. I hope you’ll enjoy it too.
