Life we’ll have

Road gets smoother as we leave the city,
the suburbs green and flashy
How was our life before
Hand held in yours,
my dreams in your palm
My life in that knapsack on my lap
“I got you”
velvety smooth ringing in my ears
a raft I need when I’m sinking
Farther we draw from my past
the dirt, the tears, the poverty
Closer I draw to my future
Your hand in mine,
I fear
Too good to be true, isn’t it?
Looking at you,
you looking at me
I’m a lost cause I told you
You shake your head in that way you do
And maybe I am not
Squeeze my hand around yours harder,
just to feel your pulse against me

Awww… this one gives me the feel good vibes. *I got you*

I’m thinking Trust? The fear of giving it versus the joy, freedom and peace of it being received by someone you love; someone you know will treasure it as much as you do. The fear of the unknown future, versus the hope of a new brighter one, better than the lacklustre past. Courage and the willingness to take the plunge no matter how scary. How you were able to say so much in so little words is breathtaking.

    I loved it.

Haha, yeah. That was the theme.
Bearing in mind that a pessimist needs an optimist in their life to show them things can work.
